My name is Dea Sterling Smith and I have always loved working with my hands. They know what they are doing, particularly when I get out of the way. How I came to be a massage therapist was by accident - a car accident! I was a wallpaper hanger back in the day when that was popular, and I had been rear ended on the freeway while going to a job. As part of my treatment, I saw a chiropractor and a massage therapist for a solid year. When all was said and done, and I was ready to go back to work, paperhanging had fallen out of fashion and I wound up getting a job in the corporate world. Because I had found the massage therapy to be most beneficial to my health, I continued to get treatment. I hated my job and I complained mightily to my therapist. He urged me to go to massage school. I graduated in 1993 and have never looked back. Thank the Almighty for that accident! I am a lucky, lucky woman to be privileged to do work that I know helps.
I am nationally certified in therapeutic massage through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and I am licensed locally by the City of Long Beach. I have been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association since 1993. I graduated from the California College of Physical Arts in Huntington Beach and immediately began work in a local chiropractic office. Since then, I have also worked at a gym, a spa, a salon and various other chiropractors.  I also have taught Massage Therapy at various schools. I am always taking new classes and studying new techniques to be the best therapist possible.

My practice includes Swedish Massage and its variations. I also perform Lymph Drainage, CranioSacral Therapy and Lionheart Chelation Therapy.

I invite you to share my gift and receive the many benefits.

My mission is to form a partnership in healing with you.
